This is the winter that it will get official. After auditioning and rehearsing with half a dozen players, we’ve got the backbone for what is the new sound.

There’s sample music on the site, the new album No Soliciting is available worldwide on iTunes and all across Canada through HMV. We’ve got plans to hit Eastern Canada by the end of the spring 2010, and no place is safe from the new grooves!

With a tentative scheduling of the Eastern United States, The Messenger is always looking for ways to grow and stretch what hip hop music is in the 21st Century.

Influenced by The Roots, Gym Class Heroes, Blackalicious, and Common to name a few urban artists, the span of the music is continuously evolving into “sophisticated urban,” with the likes of Justin Timberlake and Zion I.

So, without further ado, welcome to the new revamped home of The Messenger and the rest of the 1812 family. We’re under construction still, but everything is up here that should be right now.
